Khongor –Uula

The place with such name is located in the foothills of the ridge Khamar – Daban, in the valley of the river Haragun. The country road from the motorway Kultuk - Mondy across the village of Okohr – Shibir leads to it. The distance from this place to the motorway is 11 kms.

In total here are 10 outputs of mineral waters. The springs of Khongor – Uula are cold ferruterous sulphide – carbonate natrium – calcium – magnesium with low mineralization. The temperature of water in different springs fluctuates, the total debit is 250 cubic metres per day. Some springs are situated 1,5-2 kms far from this place, wooden sidewalk leads to them destroyed in some parts.

The springs have the tablets with the instruction against what illnesses they are used. In such a way gastric, heart, intestinal, kidney, hepatic, female, nervous and basic sources are marked. Drinking water is carried out basically independently.

Here works the municipal unitary health-improving enterprise "Khongor – Uula” and 6 boarding houses for 100 persons function. They admit people mainly in summer. Also the summer tent camp is founded here. And there is a small bathing house where water is warmed up before using it.
