III International Scientific Conference "Sustainable development of tourism: strategic initiatives and partnership"
Dear colleagues!
Baikal Institute of Nature Management SB RAS invites you to participate in the III International Scientific Conference «Sustainable development of tourism: strategic initiatives and partnership” of the Baikal Economic Forum held with the support of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Federal Agency for Tourism, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Government of the Buryat Republic, “Siberian Agreement” Interregional Association, Administration of Ulan-Ude City.
The goal of the conference is to thoroughly discuss the important problems in:
- tourism development in present days;
- elaboration of the state-private partnership mechanisms in tourism;
- creation of partnership relations between different sectors of civil society, between the representatives of different countries and regions;
- creation of the recommendations for the anti-crisis methods of tourism regulation;
- improving the efficiency of regional tourism in a globalizing world.
The following issues will be discussed:
- Problems and trends of tourism sustainable development under the conditions of the world financial crisis;
- Tourist markets of Russia and the Asian-Pacific Region: strategic initiatives and integration processes;
- Tourism anti-crisis regulation and state support;
- International border routes: perspectives and ways of realization;
- Experience and prospects of the state-private partnership in tourism;
- Ecological and socio-cultural aspects of sustainable development of tourism;
- Staff training and improving the quality of service.
The conference will have the following sections:
Section 1. Globalization and the regional aspects of tourism sustainable development.
Section 2. State-private partnership: prospects and mechanisms of realization in the sphere of tourism
Section 3. Business and education relationship in tourism
Section 4. Ecological and socio-cultural aspects of sustainable development of tourism
Work languages of the conference – Russian, English
By the beginning of the conference we are planning to publish the brochure with the materials of the conference. The maximum size of a report should not exceed 6 pages, including pictures, tables and a reference list. Paper format – A4, spcase – 1, type – TIMES NEW ROMAN, size –12. Margins – upper, lower, left, right – 2.5. cm. Put the title of your repot in the center of the first page with all capital letters, in a space of 1,5 – names of the authors. Below it put the full name of your organization, city and country. Your report should start 2 intervals below it. Each paragraph should start with the indented line of 1,25 pts. References to literature should be given in square brackets.
The electronic version of the materials is provided in Word or RTF format. Pictures should be black-and-white, in TIFF, JPG, or BMP formats. The text, pictures, charts should not require any additional editing for printing.

The organizing committee reserves the right to refuse the publication in case the report is not within the topic of the conference or doesn’t meet the requirements of editing
The price of the brochure: 300 Rubles
Fee for participation in the conference – 1000 rubles (trip to lake Baikal is not included) or 2500 rubles with the included trip to lake Baikal.
Payment for the brochure and participation fee are to be transferred to the bank account (the information provided in the end).
